Hi all, It's time (past time actually) to start pulling this years reunion together. First things first. Please look at all the names and addresses. If any of your siblings/cousins/parents/aunts/uncles isn't on the list please update for us all. I know I'm missing some of the Stacy girls and Patrick Owens and Michelle T. Ingram. I'm also having a problem w/Uncle Vic & Aunt Judy's address. Someone please let me know which is correct. The date is Saturday 27th June, at the Rockport pavilion. I hope everyone will be there. I already know my boys won't be. I'm disappointed, but understand of course. I know that Aunt Anna and some cousins have looked into firing/melting making wine bottle spoon rests. That's about it for plans, that I am aware of. We've had a few suggestions about catering vs. feeding ourselves. Get Mac's to do it. They're easy, fairly inexpensive and we've dealt with them before. Get just the meat from Macs. Get everyone to make a side and/or a dessert. Also fairly easy. I like this or the following version. I keep thinking that HEB does already cooked brisket and hams and prob'ly turkeys. Get the meat from them, do the sides etc. as above. Get someone else to cater. Suggest someone. We're going to need supplies for said food. Plates, utensils, cups, etc. Decorations? Ideas, suggestions. Crafts and or field trips? Ok, please respond and reply all, so no one misses out please. As for field trips.... Last time I was in Rockport I read that there's a new driving history tour on CD you can check out from the Visitor's Center, and it leads you around Rockport and Lamar to various historical sites and gives the story. Anyone up for a history tour? Angela
Angela, I think that's a great idea. I'd love to do it. Wonder if we have to reserve it? And what about multiple car loads? Would you look into that please? Also, Ray had some good ideas that he's bouncing around w/Paula & Patty, I'll fill you in as we go. Anna, I'd appreciate it if you would look into the other caterer. And we're only 6 weeks off, so we need to decide and book whatever we decide to do soon. There is a bunch of beach themed stuff out right now, and I've got all those shell lights that we used for the parents 50th. So I'm thinking a beach theme is good, (since we're doing this at the beach....) I'll pick up some odds and ends where that is concerned, unless someone else would like to or would like a different theme. The rest of you, please chime in!! Now! Thank you, that is all. tt
